Warehouse Inventory Controller

*Position is for a new facility; training will take place in a different warehouse on site*

Job Description:
Inventory Controller must possess a thorough knowledge of processes and procedures
associated with supply, storage, and distribution functions within a fast-paced environment. The
candidate will be responsible for the correct management of stocks, physically in the warehouse and in
the KTN software system.
 
Department Operations: Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving, and Packaging
 
Reports To: Facility Manager

Requirements:
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Mathematical skills: ability to perform all basic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Physical demands: Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
• Warehouse environment: in and outdoor with possible extreme weather conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment. 
• Perform various tasks in assistance or support of the KTN organization including but not limited
to general labor.
• Be willing to work other than normal scheduled hours, which may include evenings, weekends
and/or holidays according to the needs of the business.
• Punctuality is a must; be on time and ready to work at the start of shift. 
• Experience in organizing a warehouse and keeping track of stock.
• Be able to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and deal with a variety of variables.
• Perform cycle counts on a monthly basis and be able to resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage damaged goods and supervise repairs.
• Must be able to coordinate internal and external audits.
• Knowledge of all safety regulations (KTN & legal requirements) for storing cargoes and ensure
these regulations are followed.
• Must possess the skills to provide quality customer service including the ability to deal with a
variety of people in a professional, courteous manner within diversified situations. 
• Possess the ability to perform assigned work tasks with little or no supervision.
• Be able to meet all the requirements for a Forklift Driver (FLD). 
 
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
• Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and follow/execute all safety procedures/rules as
outlined in the KTN Safety Manual and OSHA regulations.
• Possess a high standard of quality. 
• Thorough knowledge of all procedures, instructions, and documents of the Katoen Natie Quality
Manual relevant to the department and facility.
