Sit-Down Forklift Operator / Loader

Location: Baytown, TX
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Schedule: Rotating 7:00 AM–7:00 PM shifts, including nights and weekends

Openwork is seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator/Loader for a fast-paced warehouse in Baytown. This position involves safely loading and moving pallets of bagged plastic pellets weighing up to 3,000 pounds. Candidates must be confident operating a sit-down forklift and working with heavy loads.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently
• Load, unload, and transport pallets weighing up to 3,000 pounds
• Move pallets containing bags of plastic pellets
• Inspect loads and equipment before operation
• Follow all warehouse and safety procedures
• Maintain an organized and safe work area
• Keep up with production needs in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Previous sit-down forklift and loading experience is required
• Must be confident handling heavy pallets
• Must be available to work rotating shifts, nights, and weekends
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse
• Able to work safely in hot conditions
• Must be extremely punctual, dependable, and have reliable transportation
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
