Forklift Operator

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our Shipping & Receiving team. This position is responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stage materials while supporting warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, quality-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stage materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and material handling.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform general labor duties as needed to support warehouse operations.
  • Follow all company work procedures and safety policies.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service when interacting with coworkers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Be punctual and prepared to begin work at the start of each shift.
  • Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet business demands.

Qualifications

  • Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to successfully complete the company's forklift certification, including both written and practical evaluations.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor warehouse environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions.

Safety & Quality

  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and safety in all work performed.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Shipping & Receiving
Shift: Rotating Shift (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $16.50
