What You'll Do
As the Second Shift Production Supervisor, you will:
- Lead and oversee daily second-shift manufacturing operations.
- Supervise production activities involving custom crates, pallets, cut lumber, and other industrial packaging solutions.
- Monitor production schedules and help ensure quality and delivery expectations are met.
- Lead, coach, train, and support production employees.
- Manage employee schedules, attendance, timekeeping, and performance.
- Inspect products for quality, proper measurements, and adherence to specifications.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices, including proper use of PPE.
- Train employees on equipment, tools, and safe operating procedures.
- Monitor machinery, equipment, machine guarding, and safety devices.
- Track inventory of raw materials, hardware, and finished products.
- Partner with operations and purchasing to maintain appropriate material levels.
- Identify production challenges and opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- Support company safety, environmental, and waste-management procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing, carpentry, woodworking, or a related production environment.
- Experience leading, training, coaching, or supervising employees.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, measurements, engineering drawings, or technical documents.
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment, power tools, saws, pneumatic tools, nail guns, or similar equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate verbally in both English and Spanish is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pallet, crate, woodworking, packaging, or industrial manufacturing.
- Experience with inventory control and production planning.
- Knowledge of process improvement, waste reduction, or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 standards.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Additional education or certifications in Industrial Technology, Business Management, Lean Manufacturing, or a related field.
