Openwork is assisting our north Austin client add an onsite Sales Tax Accountant to their team for a 6 month project! Headquartered in Austin, this innovative firm is offering a newly created opening in their finance team. 

Your day may consist of:

* Working with a third party provider, assisting with monthly sales tax filings, applications and nexus statuses.  

* Processing  and responding to various states communications , reconcile, validate and run a GL review.

* Maintaining documents and procedures for training.

* Gap Filings

* Assisting with other duties as requested.

Required Skills:

* 3-5 yrs. Accounting experience

* Proven experience with US Sales Tax processing

* Knowledge of and experience with financial dashboards

* GAAP

* Reporting knowledge and experience

* Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment with a well developed work ethic

* Ability to take initiative, be positive and seek answers

* Dog friendly, work hard, play hard with a sense of humor
