Meador an Openwork Company is currently engaged in a search to find a driven Outside Sales – Business Development professional in Houston, TX. In this high-impact and growth-focused role, you will be responsible for developing new customer relationships, opening doors with targeted industries, and creating early-stage sales opportunities for engineered heating, instrumentation, and controls solutions. This position plays a critical role in expanding market presence across oil & gas, chemical, power generation, EPC, and commercial construction environments. Developing new business relationships with oil & gas skid builders, chemical plants, EPC firms, power plants, and commercial construction companies
Driving new customer acquisition through outbound prospecting and relationship-building
Identifying customer needs and introducing engineered heating, instrumentation, and controls solutions
Creating and managing early-stage sales opportunities and RFQs
Collaborating closely with internal design and estimating teams to support accurate proposals
Building and maintaining a healthy, active sales pipeline
Ensuring opportunities are well-qualified and transitioned smoothly for execution
Representing the company professionally while traveling regionally to customer sites
3–15+ years of outside sales or business development experience
Experience selling engineered products or services into chemical plants, EPC environments, power generation, or oil & gas skid shops
Existing relationships within Chemical, EPC, Power Generation, or Oil & Gas industries strongly preferred
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong communication skills with the ability to initiate conversations and build rapport quickly
Self-motivated, energetic, and results-driven mindset
Ability to travel regionally as required
