Openwork is currently assisting the Harris County Tax office in their search to fill General Clerk (Part Time) jobs in various locations (16 locations) throughout Harris County.  As a General Clerk (PT) you will be responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and timely front-line customer service to the public.

 Schedule: Up to 30 Hours work week;  Monday-Friday / Day Shift Only / Subject to Saturdays

 Responsibilities for the General Clerk (PT) job include:

• Provide friendly, high level of professionalism and efficient customer service to the public.
• Process title transfers and issue vehicle registrations, renewal stickers and replacement plates
• Review vehicle title paperwork for accuracy and entry into the computer system
• Handle and balance automobile transactions for commercial clients
• Submit daily close-out and balancing reports.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 months of cash handling/monetary transactions experience and data entry; good math skills
• Excellent communication skills and submit to on-site skills testing.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to type 30 WPM or Higher.
• Data Entry 5KPH.
• High school diploma from an accredited institution or GED equivalent.
