Openwork is actively seeking a Counter Sales (HVAC) associate to join our team in South Austin! In this customer-facing role, you will directly contribute to store revenue by providing knowledgeable support and exceptional service to our valued clients. If you enjoy working with people, have a knack for sales, and are interested in the HVAC industry, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide expert guidance on HVAC products and services, helping customers find the right solutions

• Deliver top-tier customer service in person, over the phone, or via email

• Safely handle and load merchandise into customer vehicles

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor

• Process orders, inventory transfers, and customer inquiries through our computer system

• Explain store policies on purchases, returns, and credit terms clearly and professionally

• Perform regular inventory cycle counts

• Build long-term customer relationships through follow-up, repurchases, and promotions

• Train for and obtain forklift certification (training provided)

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Basic computer literacy

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

• HVAC industry experience or product knowledge is a plus (but not required)

• Willingness to learn and grow within the company
