Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find dependable Compression Shop Associates in Griffin, GA. In this hands-on and rewarding role, you will be responsible for operating compression presses and production equipment used to manufacture high-voltage electrical power connectors and substation components for utility companies across the United States. Operating compression molding presses and related production equipment
Loading raw materials into compression molds and removing finished components
Monitoring machine operation to ensure products meet quality and production standards
Inspecting molded parts for defects, dimensions, and overall quality
Trimming, finishing, and preparing molded products for the next stage of production
Performing basic machine adjustments and reporting equipment issues to supervisors
Reading and following work orders, production schedules, and manufacturing specifications
Maintaining accurate production records and documentation
Keeping the work area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety standards
Working with production team members to meet daily production goals
What you'll need:
Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or compression molding experience is preferred but not required—we're willing to train motivated candidates
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn production equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products
Ability to read work instructions and production specifications
Basic math and measuring skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 pounds as needed
Reliable transportation and excellent attendance

2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Pay:
