Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a skilled and dependable MIG/TIG Welder in College Park, GA.
In this hands-on, rewarding role, you will be responsible for fabricating, joining, and repairing various metal structures and components using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques. In a Welder job you’ll be responsible for:

• Operating welding and fabrication equipment, including drill presses, power saws, grinders, and metal lathes

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine project requirements and welding sequences

• Performing MIG, TIG, and electric arc welding to assemble and repair metal components and structures

• Inspecting completed work to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards

• Performing prescribed preventive maintenance on machines and tools as required

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What you’ll need:

• Previous experience in MIG and TIG welding (certification a plus)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

• Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring devices

• Basic math and technical reading/writing skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Must have your own welding gear
