Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search to for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for a textile company in Greenville, SC. As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for  implementing and overseeing programs to ensure workplace safety and environmental compliance. Responsibilities for EHS Manager:

- Conducting inspections, investigating accidents, managing safety training, and ensuring the company meets local, state, and federal regulations.
- Program Development for healthy and safety policies and procedures
- Risk assessment and inspection of facilities and equipment for workplace safety 
- Accident investigation
- Emergency preparedness
- Up to date documentation for safety manuals, incident reports, etc
- Track safety metrics

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of safety laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and interpersonal 
- Leadership experience
- Professional certifications: CSP, CIH, or CHMM
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field or degrees and certifications to supplement experience 


Shift/Schedule: Mon-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm or however you are able to touch all 3 shifts.  Autonomy to build own schedule to touch all shifts of the plant.

Pay:  Depending on experience pay is negotiable
