Openwork is currently assisting the Harris County Tax Office in their search to fill - Customer Service - Cashier (Full Time- Temp to Hire) positions

in various locations throughout Harris County. As a Customer Service - Cashier you will be responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and timely front-line customer service to the public.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:45 am – 4:45 pm

Responsibilities for this Customer Service - Cashier job include:

• You will be responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and timely customer service to commercial clients.
•  Issues temporary permits for automobiles and disabled plates and/or placards for eligible applicants 
•  Processes title transfers and issues vehicle registrations, renewal stickers and replacement plates. 
• Handle and balance automobile transactions for commercial clients.
• Submit daily close-out and balancing reports.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
• Must adhere to attendance policy
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 months of cash handling/monetary transactions experience and data entry; good math skills 
• Excellent communication skills and submit to on-site skills testing.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Type a minimum of 30 WPM or higher
• Data Entry 5KPH.
• High school diploma from an accredited institution or GED equivalent.
